I visited my best friend / ex partner in life recently by taking a train ride down to visit her. We hung out for a couple days and since she was working at the tattoo shop during the day time I had time to walk around town and think. I was extremely emotional and I realised that after 2 and a half years being separated that I was not over her. I decided to write this song to try and ease that pain of losing her and to maybe allow myself to let go and to just be friends without these attachments. Love is beautiful and love is painful.

This is for everyone who has loved and lost.
